The dating world has changed rapidly. Over the past several years, dating has become automated, our social lives have become digitalized, and many people are waiting later and later before they learn how to handle themselves in these new relationships and situations.

Here in the Bay Area, it can be even more challenging. We live superbly busy lives. We’re navigating finances, demanding jobs, and so much more. COVID has caused people to turn to their phones more than ever, and many of the places we used to spend time have shut down.

It’s a challenge. It’s also why, as part of my therapy services, I also offer a service known as “dating coaching.”

Dating coaching is the process of learning how to approach relationships with the goal of helping it thrive. It’s about how to connect not only with the person you’re dating, but also with yourself – so that you can learn how to find a partner that is really right for you and make sure that you’re in a place where that relationship can grow.

I invite you to take a look at my dating coaching page for more specific information about the service itself, or call me today at (415) 841-3687 to discuss your questions. But for those that have been interested in learning more about dating coaching as a service, let’s talk about the benefits:

  1. It’s a chance to learn more about yourself. Dating coaching may be designed to help you navigate future relationships, but really it’s an opportunity to learn more about yourself. You can learn who you really want, how to be your best self, how to allow yourself to be vulnerable, and more. All of these are tools for better relationships and better mental health.
  2. It’s an opportunity to learn to talk. If you’re someone that struggles with shyness, or finds that you have a hard time getting deep into conversation, that’s something that we’re working on together with dating coaching. Not only do we talk, but we can analyze the roadblocks you’re having in conversation and find solutions to help you open yourself up to others.
  3. It’s a chance to openly explore the dating world. Let’s be honest – most of us don’t truly talk about the challenges of dating today with others. We may make fun of it, joke about it with friends, etc., but we don’t talk about our opening messages in dating apps, or how to talk to a friend that we have interest in and turn it into something more. With a dating coach, you have someone you can really talk to in order to learn more about what this dating world is really like.

Every healthy relationship starts with a healthy you. We also work, together, on making sure you’re in the best place you can be.

Relationships are an important part of our mental and emotional health, and a fulfilling relationship can be life changing. If you’d like to improve your relationships and learn more about yourself in the process, please reach out to me today.
